Halloween Costumes

I knew it would happen. I knew eventually I would have to let the kids choose their own Halloween costumes. I was hoping I could get away with one more year of parental control. Alas, I had to give it up once they noticed me shopping online without them. (Damn, my window-hiding mouse finger just isn’t as quick as it used to be when I was working in an office!)

Click here to read one of our costume-choosing conversations. I say ONE because… well… it’s never that simple.

P.S. I really am going to post more soon. Hopefully once Halloween is over and once some other (paying) projects are complete. There are some questions to answer! (Jenn, I will answer, I swear!)

haha... after plotting to make a costume (or create one out of a generic one) I allowed PN to buy a Target dinosaur/dragon costume for LN... although, she did want to be Pooh Bear (they didn't have one at Target - I suppose I could have looked on the internet).
Next year though... I hope she'll still allow me to dress her up.

My little girl decided on her costume by herself this year. I don't mind. She decided and stuck to it. I suppose I might have other thoughts if she kept changing her mind. I'd dress her up as what I want then. hehe I made her Super Mario of my own accord last year. She actually liked it, but other people asked me why I dressed her up as a little Italian man. I asked why not?

Can't wait until Zoe is old enough to make these decisions for herself : ) See what I have to look forward to.

OH YES. I've heard that conversation before. I usually ask way in advance to be able to get the supplies for a costume or whatever. My eldest said that Oct 1 was TOO early to decide. Oh, and that his Nana could just whip up a costume in a day or so, so what's the rush? FYI, I made their costumes this year, and Nana can't just "whip one up" kiddo. :)
